Today, you can make a difference by donating to the Minnesota Polish Medical Society Ukrainian Refugee Fund.
Dear Friends,
The Minnesota Polish Medical Society is ready to join and stay at the forefront of the widespread humanitarian effort to help Ukrainian refugees. We are supporting organizations that provide direct help on the ground in Poland. Our first partner is a Baptist Church in Wrocław, Poland, that opened its doors to Ukrainian refugees by creating a transition shelter for 60 people. The new arrivals, including refugee families with special needs children, including kids with autism, stay in the shelter until they can transition to a more permanent situation or connect with their relatives in Europe.
At first, we wanted to collect supplies in Minnesota and ship them overseas. After consulting with the church volunteers, we learned that the most effective way is to send money directly so the needed supplies can be purchased locally. This way unnecessary shipment fees and delays are avoided.
All donations will be used to purchase food, medications, diapers, hygiene products, beds, clothes, and other basic items.
Your contribution to the Minnesota Polish Medical Society Ukrainian Refugee Fund will have a direct impact on the lives of people who had to leave everything behind to finally find a safe haven in Poland.
You can donate to the Church Directly on the website
You can also make your donation to PayPal or mail a check with the note "Ukrainian Refugees."
We will transfer all the collected funds to the Church to help them care for Ukrainian refugees who need our help now more than ever.
Thank you for your generosity,
MPMS Board
