About the event

An Interrupted Childhood - Polish WWII Survivors in Minnesota is a photographic tribute to Polish WWII refugees who settled in Minnesota.  It is the second installment of MPMS's Kalejdoskop Polski MN, a multi-year project documenting Polish post-WWII immigrants in Minnesota.   The photographs and stories of Adam, Anatol, Leonard,  Magdalena, Maria,  Walter, and Wiktor are displayed at the Landmark Center through April 30, 2023.

The event was created as a joint venture of the Landmark Center, which hosted the concert and the exhibition; Schubert Club generously offered grand piano, and Ramsey County Historical Society facilitated webinars about the project. The East Side Freedom Library helped with community engagement and publicity.

Virtual Openings March 2 and April 6. Register: https://rchs.com/event/history-revealed-an-interrupted-childhood-part-two/

In-person tours for groups of 10 and above can be requested: office@pamsm.org

Dr. Katarzyna Litak is the exhibition's curator and designer. She is also MPMS President.
