About the event
Join us on the eve of Poland’s May 3rd Constitution Day for a special evening of music honoring the nation’s rich cultural and historical heritage. This festive concert will present works spanning from the Renaissance to the present day, celebrating centuries of Poland’s musical artistry.
Under the direction of Samuel Backman, DMA – Director of Sacred Music, the program will feature renowned violinist and concertmaster Michał Sobieski alongside the choirs of Holy Cross Catholic Church. The evening will include works by Wojciech Dankowski, Dawid Kusz, Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki, Mieczysław Surzyński, and Henryk Górecki.
We invite not only those with a deep love of Polish culture and history, but all music enthusiasts, to experience this extraordinary celebration. At Holy Cross, we are deeply proud of our Polish heritage, and this program—carefully researched and curated—reflects the beauty and spirit of that tradition.
