About The Event

The exhibition "Faces of Solidarity" will be exhibited at the University of St. Thomas Iversen Center February 14- March 14, 2022. This exhibition is a photographic tribute to the Polish Solidarity political refugees that settled in Minnesota and a part of the Kalejdoskop Polski MN project that is in its second year.

In the 1980s, the Solidarnosc/Solidarity movement in Poland became one of Europe’s most notable social movements, playing a significant role in ending communist rule in Poland. The opening reception will include reflections on select aspects of Poland's modern history and connections between these individuals’ journeys and the larger process of recovery after deep struggle. More details about the opening coming soon.

The virtual exhibition is now available.
