About the event

Faces of Solidarity is a part of the Kalejdoskop Polski MN project. This exhibit is a photographic tribute to Polish Solidarnosc activists who settled in Minnesota. Ten striking portraits of Polish-Minnesotans will be on display at the Iversen Center of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul February 14 - March 14, 2022. The opening reception is scheduled for February 17, 2022, 6-9 PM. 

The On-Campus Sponsors: Office of Mission, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Theology, Department of History.

The Speakers:

Prof. Zsolt Nagy is a historian of modern Europe with a specific focus on East and East-Central Europe. 

Prof. Paul Wojda whose expertise is in Catholic moral theology, Christian ethics, theological bioethics, health care ethics, political theology.

Grzegorz Litynski-the lead artist on the project, an internationally regarded humanist photographer. He is the head of postgraduate studies in travel and documentary photography at the University of Technology in Katowice, Poland,

Dr. Litak is the President of Minnesota Polish Medical Society, the project manager and curator of this exhibition

As of 2/11/2022 the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis have lifted requirements for patrons to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result to enter events or venues that serve food or beverage. As a result, the University of St. Thomas is discontinuing all the temporary steps we took to comply with these orders, effective immediately.
