This September, the Minnesota Polish Medical Society (MPMS) is proud to be an organizing partner for the first-ever ESPPA Symposium — Changing the Narrative on Suicide: Safer Transitions — alongside the European Suicidology, Prevention & Postvention Association (ESPPA), Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School.
The symposium takes place Friday, September 11, 2026, 13:00–18:00 CET, at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Wrocław, Poland, during World Suicide Prevention Month. It focuses on safer transitions of care — the critical window after a patient leaves a hospital or emergency department, when follow-up support and safety planning matter most.
Why MPMS Is Involved
This partnership reflects our mission: connecting Polish and Minnesotan medical communities and supporting the exchange of clinical knowledge across borders. We're glad to help bring this symposium to Wrocław and will share takeaways with our members afterward.
Details: Wrocław University of Science and Technology, pl. Grunwaldzki 11, 51-377 Wrocław, Poland. Registration: 200 PLN standard / free for students. Learn more at esppa.eu/symposium.
