Photographic Tribute to Solidarity Freedom Fighters - at the Solidarity Street Gallery 2022


MPMS was delighted to participate in Solidarity Street Gallery 2022 Resilient Generations at the East Side Freedom Library. Faces of Solidarity at Solidarity Street Gallery of the ESFL opened on September 9 at 5 PM. Solidarity Picnic was on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 3-6 PM. Virtual openings and discussions are planned for September 29 and October 13.

Faces of Solidarity is a photographic tribute to Polish refugees who settled in Minnesota. It is the first installment of MPMS's Kalejdoskop Polski MN, a multi-year project documenting Polish post-WWII immigrants in Minnesota.


Grzegorz Litynski is the Lead Artist of the visual history part of the project. www.litynski.com Dr. Katarzyna Litak is the exhibition's curator, and designer. She is also MPMS President.


Kalejdoskop Polski, MN project has received grant support from the Minnesota Historical Society, Metro Regional Arts Council, and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
